Welcome to Sippie's Studio
Sippie's Studio is a gluten-free bakery that serves (mainly) Cenote Cafe in Austin, Texas.
Never any selling here. Instead you will find: gluten-free baking tips, information about Cenote Austin, health-related information, much of which is specifically related to diet - including why I bake and eat without GMOs (and why I detest them), as well as a blog about all sorts of things. Gluten-free Baking Some say it's a fad, but if you love someone who has celiac or know anyone who throws up whenever they eat wheat, you know it's vital to avoid gluten. Count me in that group. My gluten-free baked goods have made their way into the retail realm. On this page you'll find gluten-free baking tips, recipes, and a link to my favorite local vendor and coffee shop, Cenote. Health-Related This page contains links to articles about GMOs (genetically-modified-organisms) and other threats to our health. So many it's hard to keep up. Since the defeat of California's labeling law/proposition, several other States are now seriously looking at the issue of labeling. It's hard to believe that Monsanto et.al's deep pockets could influence anyone's desire to actually know what's in their food, but yes, they did just that in California. We can only hope that as more and more people become informed, a tipping point will be reached that will trump the idiocy promoted by Monsanto, Syngenta, Archer-Daniels-Midland, etc. and that labeling laws will ultimately allow us all to know which foods are (effectively) poison and which are not. 5) Blog ... is self-explanatory, a place where I stop to praise, make observations, occasional rants, and rave about new finds or record spontaneous rhetoric.
